Spirits and you!
Elemental spirits and their covenants are a fairly well-understood topic of discussion, at least when compared to most other insight humanity has on monsters. There are six known types of elemental spirits: Gnome of Earth, Undine of Water, Sylph of Wind and Ignis of Fire are the ‘main’ elementals, whereas Glacies of Ice and Dark Matter of Mamono Mana are considered ‘lesser’ elementals.
Nevertheless, contracting with a spirit of any kind will usually grant the spirit’s covenant the ability to be attuned with their respective element, as well as allowing them to harness incredible power.
Theo’s Elementals: Gnome [Level 1]
- Breath of the Earth: You can meditate for a turn (equivalent of 30 seconds) to activate the Earth Elemental’s power, gaining a +1 to all the rolls from a category of skills of your choosing, for the duration of the scene. This stunt may only be used once every other scene. The skill categories are:
Physical (Weapons, Fists, Athletics, Might, Endurance)
Perception (Investigate, Alertness, Empathy, Survival, Gambling)
Subterfuge (Stealth, Deceive, Burglary, Shoot, Sleight of Hand)
Knowledge (Academics, Mysteries, Engineering, Science, Art)
Social (Leadership, Contacts, Rapport, Intimidation, Resolve)
(Certain skills cannot be raised through elemental contracting with a Gnome. These include Drive and Resources.)
- Rocky Road Ahead: You gain an extra Stress box for physical stress.
